The Lake Howell High School administration has graciously reconsidered moving our game times for this Saturday’s upcoming games. This means that all games will be played at their originally posted times. Thank you LHHS!

As a concession, the High School has asked for our cooperation with parking. Please park to the east of the cafeteria, similar to where we park for practices.

FOOTBALL WEIGH-INS
Football weigh-ins will be conducted 1 hour prior to game time in the building just inside the entrance to the field to the left.

PARKING
Due to homecoming events we will be limited to the extreme east side of the parking lot. This will be evident when entering the lot.

Initial inspection of the playing field is positive. We are going to attempt to play our games today beginning with the Tiny Mites at 9AM followed by the regular schedule. We will be constantly re-evaluating field conditions throughout the day as we know that there is rain in the forecast.

There is a strong possibility that later games may be be rescheduled IF conditions deteriorate considerably.

Due to a make-up softball tournament this evening, the high school has asked us to move our practices to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.

Summary of this week’s Practice Schedule:

• All Cheer: Tues, Wed, Thurs
• Football TM, MM, JPW, PW, JM: Tues, Wed, Thurs
• Sr. Midget Football: Mon, Tues, Thurs (remains same)

Practice Location:

Sr. Midgets please note: You will be moved to the Varsity practice field behind the actual high school this evening. Some of the board members will arrive by 5:30 to direct you where to go.

You can access the varsity practice field you can access the field in two ways:

1. Park in front of the school in the main parking lot and use the entrance to the right of administration (where we held equipment pickup) and walk straight back until you reach the grass.

2. Park in front of the stadium and stay to the left of the gate we normally use for entrance to our pop warner games, there is an access gate and walkway back to the varsity practice field.

Please respect the high school grounds and keep children from wandering off unattended, or running/playing in hallways and courtyards.

Please join us @ Gator’s for Spirit Night and watch the Tiny Mite footage from Saturday’s Game vs. Winter Park. All the fun starts at 6:30, Don’t be late!

Homecoming King & Queen will be crowned prior to the game starting as opposed to halftime in previous years

For football, as always, please arrive at least 90 minutes before game time unless otherwise specified by your head coach.

Game Times have changed for the Kickoff Classic. Please arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes before your scheduled start times for weigh-ins and book check:

Last night the head football coaches were issued our new ‘Away’ Jerseys (White) by the association. Please be advised that our vendor misprinted/omitted some of our jersey numbers. Head coaches have been asked to inventory their jersey numbers so that we can reallocate jerseys up and down where necessary.

Our vendor, Riddell, has acknowledged the error and is working as quickly as possible to produce the corrected jersey numbers for our association. We are hopeful that they will arrive before our first regular season game against Ridge Youth, but that may not happen. Please let your boys know that it isn’t the coaches’ or the association’s fault (all the correct information was submitted), and be sure to tell them that we are doing everything we can to get the correct jersey number on them as soon as possible.

In the interim, tell remind them that it isn’t the number that makes the player, it is the player that makes the number.

All participants must fulfill their 10 hour conditioning requirment before they can don their full pads and participate in contact drills.

If you have completed all 10 hours of conditioning your practice football attire is:

• Helmet (chin strap & mouthpiece)
• Shoulder Pads (please be sure to wear some sort of dry fit shirt or t-shirt underneath them)
• Practice Jerseys
• Practice Pants (please DO NOT wear Navy Game Pants) *Practice pants will be on sale at the Hawks Nest for $20
• Cleats

If you HAVE NOT completed all 10 hours of conditioning your practice attire is:

• Helmet (chin strap & mouthpiece)
• Shirt
• Shorts
